Will and cal went up the staircase and it just went on and on for hours. Will was feeling ill and told cal and went on. They came to a spot where there was fresh air and went into a chamber and saw a vent in the ground. They went in and will put his back on one side and his feet on the other and climbed down. Once he got down he fell into a pool of water and he went through a tunnel that led outside of the underground. They walked for a while and will started thinking what will they do and where will they go?




THEY...ESCAPED...YAY!

Will and cal had found another tunnel that led to the place that reaches topsoil the ETERNAL CITY! They went through the tunnel and found that there was algae on the walls that was making a glow. Once in the ETERNAL CITY they saw buildings,and staircases,and statues. They walked until their cat(barletby)heard something and thy covered them selves with algae slime to block their scent from the blood hounds. They jogged over a bridge an saw a couple of statues in the square in weird positions. Will asked cal what they were doing there and he answered that they were real torchered people. Thy saw ca Styx and hid. Once they were gone they ran and ran and ran until there was a stair case.

Will and the Styx were in tug of war with Chester and as the door started coming down will knew what he had to do he had to let go or Chester would be crushed. He let go and watched Chester fight back through the port hole. Cal their cat and will were walking and realised that they only had one mask and they couldn't go back. Will forced cal to wear it and asked why do we need masks any way?. Cal answered that there was possibly a disease in the air that killed everyone down there. Later will was starting to feel bad and asked cal if Styx were down there and he said YES! STYX?...DOWN HERE!... WOW?

The man stopped and took out a pipe,filled it with tobacco,and walked away. Will climbed the rest of the way down and ran and ran until he saw the hold he walked in and told the officer that he wanted to see his friend Chester. He let him in and will told Chester the plan and when it was time to go he took out his camera and and flashed it at the mans eyes. He fell to the ground and will and Chester ran to the next stage. They went into an abandoned house and pushed a tile on the wall and a door came up. They went in and Chester found another door and started to crank it when will remembered your supposed to have a mask on in there when cal came up and wanted to come with them. Alarms went off and will shoved cal inside with a mask on and started to go when the Styx came and no it...it couldn't be Rebbecca was leading them will pulled out a stone and cracked it open light surrounded them but Rebbecca didn't seem to be bothered.

Uncle tam burst in through the door and came up and sat down next to will and cal. He showed them a map and told him the plan to break Chester out and escape. He gave him some rare rocks and told him that if he was cornered to crack one open and rub it against some thing and a big burst of light would appear. The next morning will left bright and early he flowed tams Instructions and went into the house that looked like none of the others. Suddenly uncle tam came up and pushed open a hole and shoved him in. Will crawled through the tunnel for a while until he could stand up again and ran until the end of the tunnel where he had to climb down a hole of some kind when ac man walked by and did the thing will did not want him to do he stopped!

Will and cal were in their room when a siren went off and cal said yes! the dark wind aha i love this!. He went up to the window and closed right when people were getting off the streets. A dark cloud filled the streets and cal said that it was just dust from below the colony like a burp. Will watched in amazement as it swooped past their window and filled the room with a funny smell. Once it was over cal said that people3 believed that it burns your skin. Soon after a moment of silence cal said afterwards there would be a lightning storm and suddenly fire balls shot out of the departing clouds. One hovered around for a minute than plummeted to a spot just above the ground than for a few seconds hovered there than got a little bright er than instantly died out. Dr.burrows(wills dad) was in the middle of a dark cloud and he fell asleep with dust in his eyes. When he woke up he walked over to a circle of stones and started a fire to see. He had grown a beard and looked crazy. He started walking around the stone circle witch had a symbol on each. He took out and orb and pretended that it w3as a microphone and held it to one side of his face and interviewed himself switching voices along with the side of his face that the orb was on.

Will went to work with two other boys and the scar man pulled up a ring in the floor and they went through a hole that appeared. He tied ropes to them that were attached to each other. They walked for a while and then he told them to dig and he also handed will a weird pickax with a scoop and one side. They dug and dug and dug until one of the kids dug so deep that he fell in the water in his hole. The scar faced man tugged and tugged and finally he climbed out. After that kid will fell in and was confused for about 10 minutes. Finally he came out and after 7 hours he said they were done and will went home. On the way home he noticed the store owner of the grocery store selling fruit and after that he wondered how many more people know about the colony?

Meanwhile Rebbecca(wills sister)was packing up and decided to runaway from auntie jean. She set paper and cigarette ashes on fire in the sink and left heading for the staircase while the smoke alarm went off. Chester was doing push ups in the hold(prison cell)and stopped sat down and prayed to the heavens that will would save him. Chester Found some writing on the wall that said I DIED-HERE after that he didn't feel like reading any more. He also found out that if you stand on the bench you could see through a window and see a tunnel. Chester prayed that will would come running through that tunnel but he never did. Chester couldn't hold it much longer and fell back into the hold. Will was rudely awoken by cal who told him they had work to do and led him downstairs where a short man waited for them. Cal gave will strange clothes and he quickly zipped them up over his clothes. Will went with the short man with another group of boys who had digging tools.They went through a tunnel and up to a building where a man came out who had a lunar scar and white hair. He led will and two other boys into a building and started to kick the ground

Will and tam were arguing about if will should break Chester out or not when tam said fine! and made will promise that if he got caught to not include tam in the breakout story. Will noticed a Styx talking to an old not very tall man. Cal whispered to will that was Heraldo Walsh. Uncle tam also whispered that he was talking to a Styx that was out to get him. Suddenly before they knew it he was walking up to them with his gang close behind. He started talking about how he hated will and tried to get him. Soon the owner came over to them and put shackles on them that were connected to one another and drew a chalk line. Will asked cal what was going on and cal said a fist fight. When it was over uncle tam lay on the bench covered in bruises and blood while his opponent lay knocked on the ground.

Uncle tam showed ill the people and once will met them they started talking and laughing about how church isn't much fun. One of the guys asked will what he missed the most about the top soil while pointing up ward with his thumb. Before will could even answer he said that he would miss fish and and chips not that I've ever had them he exclaimed. Shh said tam this is not the time nor the place. Tam handed will a cup of gray stuff and will drank some. Suddenly his throat burned and his eyes watered. He coughed and asked tam what it was and he said oh you don't wanna know. Will asked tam if he could help him get Chester out. Tam said no and said that they(the people who lived under ground)didn't belong up there and that will would get used to it. Church was over and will and cal went to meet uncle tam. They went deeper into the cavern when cal said don't stop for any thing. Will saw a door and they went through. The room and walls were covered in slime. Once they were out it looked kinda weird. The buildings were slanted and people were very loud. They went through an alley and there were doors on both the sides. There were people in there and someone with a mask on came out and took it off. There smile was crooked and he grabbed will. Cal quickly came over and saved him. They walked inside this little house type thing with people inside. There was so many people that they were spilling out onto the side walk. They heard uncle tams voice and he came over and showed them what he called famous people.

They just finished the first course then a man came in and gave them plates of gravy covered mush. Cal's dad drank some murky water and then got up and will passing the man he knocked him over. His chin was bleeding and he quickly picked up the contents of the fruit bowl he carried. Cal's dad went out the front door and will asked cal who that man was. He said that his name was terry Watkins who just happened to be the same man who was the father of some of wills old friends. Cal said that he stumbled over one of their air waves and they didn't want anyone else to know about the colony so he was kidnapped and put to work. Suddenly some bells rang outside and cal said that they should go. They went outside and walked along with everybody else in the colony to a building. They went inside and will saw a picture of the founding father of the colony. There was a man in the house a Styx in fact and he was tailing to every one about how they would someday regain the surface and make it their own again.

Will and cal had just went into the kitchen and will saw another door and went through. There was a bunch of jars and weird mushrooms on shelves. Will saw what seemed to be beef jerky. He asked cal what it was. Cal said that it was rat. Disgusted will went back into the hallway and they went upstairs. Cal showed will fathers room and then they went into Cal's room. There were two bed side by side. There was a pair of clothes on wills bed and he put them on. Cal showed will some stuff from his collection like a,busted phone,a broken radio.and chocolate. Whats the chocolate for asked will. I just like to smell it said cal. Where you get all this stuff said will. Uncle tam he goes topsoil. Just then a gong rang and cal said that that was the dinner bell. For dinner there was soup and little white things. Will was a but to eat one when it moved. They were grubs. Will watched cal as he picked one up and bit into it. The part of it that was left was squirming in Cal's clear slime covered hands.

Will and cal had just gotten to their house and were talking to their grandma when a strong old man burst through the door and saidWHERE IS HE I WANT TO SEE HIM! He walked over to will and picked him up and hugged him. I'm your uncle tam he said. They talked about how life was like down there and how it was on topsoil(or as we call it the surface). Uncle tam said that he heard about his dad being vanished to the deeps. What's the deeps? will asked. The deeps is whats under the colonyuncle tam said it strechts out for miles and miles and its filled with tunnels. Has any one ever gotten out? will asked . Well there was one but he died weeks later with some strange disease uncle tam said. They found him covered in bruises and cuts. His tongue was also cut off too said uncle tam. Well we best be going he said and their grand ma and uncle tam left. C'mon I'll show you where you sleep cal said leading will through the hall way up the stairs. Soon he noticed that will was still down next to the stairs looking at some pictures. Will noticed a door and asked cal what it was. Cal said it was the kitchen and he and will went in. It looked like a viking hospital and smelled like one too there was whit tiling all on the floor to. THAT'S ALL FOLKS SEE YA NEXT TIME!

Will had just gotten into the carriage with cal and they arrived a gate and a man inspected them. The coachman gave him a note and he let them through. They went through another tunnel and cal told will that they were in the main colony now. Rebbecca was at her grandma's apartment. The woman next to her was a worker. When her aunt finally opened the door she didn't recognize her. Soon she let her in and told her to put on the kettle. Will and cal were at the jeracome house and cal took wills bag and led into another room. There was a cat sleeping on the rug and an old lady was sitting on a chair. She showed him a picture of his mom and him. He was finally convinced and believed her. WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT!OOHHHHH!WHO SAID THAT?!

They took will into a room with chairs and a table. There was a man and a young boy in front of him. They said that he was in their family. He didn't believe them and was brought back. Rebbecca(wills sister)was laying in her bed thinking about what happened over the past 3 days. Their mom was on sleeping pills and Chester's dad came over looking for Chester. They couldn't find will or Chester. She called the police and they couldn't find them either. After they left she went into her room. Their mom saw shadowy figures in her room and ran screaming. They quickly grabbed her. They must want my VCR recorders she thought. She kicked her way out of their grasp and used a pan t o fend them off into the streets. Will was brought outside and cal(the boy who was with the man in the room who said that they were brothers)came up to him and gave him a horse carriage ride and he fell asleep.

The 2nd officer and the Styx came in and the 2nd officer strapped will to the wall. He stood up and looked at the Styx they nodded and he left. They turned on a light and will felt really strange. they asked him his name and he said will burrows. Your real name he yelled . A spiky ball appeared and went in side will. They asked him again and soon will couldn't feel his body. He felt like a head floating in total darkness. After wards he woke up and saw Chester trembling next to him. Food was put through the food slot. Will felt like he had the flu. H picked up the trays and gave Chester one. It was filled with gray slop but they ate it anyway. The Styx interrogated them for the next week. but The Styx left them alone for a day. Soon they came for will and they took him out.

Will and Chester were being held in the by an officer. He had a helmet and a jacket on. He took them in through another tunnel which declined deeper into the earth. They went through a door and up some stairs. Once they were out he took them into a room and threw them against a bench. Another officer came in and took their backpacks and sorted through them. There were pipes on the wall and a message in a tube came in. Will demanded to see his father(who was there too). They led them to a room and threw them in. It was dark and they didn't know how to get.

A s you know the elevator just came up and will was trying to get Chester inside it. Finally Chester gave in and went inside of it. Will pulled a lever inside it and it started to descend down. About 5 minutes later it stopped on the bottom. There was another door there in front of them. Will opened it and went into that room. It had a door too and will looked through a little window but couldn't see through. They opened it and saw a street and even more amazing houses! Will and Chester just stood there in disbelief until will said we should probably look around. They went down the street and up to a house. Will looked through a window and saw a fire going. He knocked and the door swung open. They went inside and saw pictures of people who looked like the guys who tried to take them. Will went in the hall way and saw a room with instruments and other things in it. they thought they should go so they did and while walking further down the street out of nowhere people on horses picked them up by the scruff of their neck. and that's all,well go on get out of here!I DON'T OWN YOU!

tunnels part 2-the colony

Last time will and Chester made a hole and will said it was a cavern. They checked their supplies went inside and shut the opening. Will squeezed by Chester to lead. Hey! said Chester Will just grinned at him, went forward,found the hole,and jumped down. Its about a 6 foot drop said will. Chester jumped in. They found some stalactites when will got his foot stuck on something. Chester came to help and they saw that it was a machine and a bunch of parts and gears were every where. Suddenly they heard a sound and saw a weird rat with no eyes! Gross! said Chester gross its amazing said will. The mouse got scared and ran away when they walked toward this metal door and saw three levers. Will pulled them all down and pushed it open and they went inside. Chester closed that door and locked it while will found another door,unlocked,opened it,and went inside. Chester also closed that door and joined will who was looking through these bars in front of an opening. It seemed really dark and really far down. Will tried to open it but it didn't work then Chester slid it open and will stuck his head out and saw a button he pressed it it didn't work he tried it again it didn't work. He closed the bars and pressed it again they heard a humming noise and an elevator came up to them.

Will and Chester were working on the tunnel in the cellar and will was talking about how his mom said that keeping secrets was like lieing and that he was feeling guilty. Then Chester left and will went into the kitchen and saw Rebbecca(wills sister)opening mail. Will saw a package and Rebbecca said it was addressed to dad. Will opened it found a glowing ball that he read a bout in his dads journal along with a letter that was from a college. It said that they ran a analysis on it and that it reacts to light and dark. The next day while will and Chester were working on the tunnel in the cellar when will made a hole in the brick and it was pitch black. Chester got scared so they stopped. Will went into the hallway and when he passed Rebbecca's room she told him to come in. She said that mom wanted to see them. Their mom said they were running out of money so will and his sister would have to live at their smelly aunts. They did not like it one bit. But theirs good news mom said at least your going next week. *sigh* will and Rebbecca were both disappointed.

A detective had came over and wanted to interview their mom(who was very lazy). Once inside it was surprisingly clean. Will and Rebbecca(his sister)were shocked. The detective asked a few questions and left. Later will and Chester had found a secret tunnel in the cellar(which was caved in). The next day will and Chester were standing outside when they saw the bully who picked on will. They didn't stay long. While they were walking home will decided they should take the shortcut home. It was getting dark sooner so they could work the hidden tunnel faster. Suddenly they realized they were being closed by the dark figures like wills dads journal. Will and Chester ran into a store called Clarke's and shut the door. The shop owner gave them a basket filled with fruit for will and his family. Just then the dark figures were gone and they went home and started moving dirt out of the tunnel.

Will was at school and a bully started picking on him because his dad was missing. Will tried not to get angry and start fighting but he couldn't take it any more he stood up in his desk and sent his chair tumbling back. the bully also stood along with his gang he walked towards him. Chester stood up and got behind will to defend him. Just then the teacher walked in and got them to sit down.

As you know will and his sister just recently called the police. Will went over to Chester's and asked Chester to help him get into his dads office at work. He said yes and they snuck in at night. They found wills dads office and looked through wills dads desk and found his diary. They went to their tunnel and read it. The most recent page was about a tunnel that will didn't know about.

Wills parents have had a fight and wills dad disappeared mysteriously,and they soon called the police. The police looked around for any clues/signs for a reason why he would leave. Afterwards they concluded that he probably just left to calm down,But will and his sister strongly disagreed with them. Will and his sister checked out the cellar(where their dad went to work in peace)they found a wheelbarrow with a huge amount of dirt in it. They were thinking of things he could have them for. Will was puzzled and thought that he should leave now. While walking out will was still trying to think up a reason for him having the dirt.

Wills dad was working and saw the same mysterious guy who bumped into him. He decided to follow him. He followed him into a alley climbed over a wall and ended up in an old lady friend of his. She let him look in her basement and he found, coats like those people wore,and sunglasses like they wore. Meanwhile will was still digging under he and Chester broke through,climbed in,and looked around. They found a chamber with eight walls and a name written on each brick when suddenly they herd a loud screeching noise and got out cause it hurt their ears. When will got home his parents were fighting. They had never fought before!

Wills dad worked at a museum and someone needed his help. They bought a new house and were doing some construction. They tore out the chimney and there was a hole that seemed to go on forever. Meanwhile will was working on his tunnels but there was a little problem. They couldn't get trough. So they dug under it but there were bricks in the way!. Wills sister had the house to herself and everyone was asleep.

Last time Chester found something amazing to him. It was a really fancy bottle and he liked it so much that will let him keep it. While his dad was just getting home,and will wasn't far behind he sped down the road on his bicycle slammed the brakes and came to a sudden halt. He walked inside said hi to his dad and mom. He walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator and asked his sister whats for dinner.

Will was waiting for his new Friend Chester at the outskirts of town. When he got there will led him to a little patch of grass. Then he reached in and pulled a string witch opened up the hole. Once they were in will gave Chester a hat with a light attached,closed the door,and led him to the main section. It had two old comfy chairs. They sat down.Mean while wills dad was walking home. He stopped at a newspaper stand. The guy who worked there gave him some magazines then he paid for them. Almost home he bumped into some one and fell but he didn't. Will and Chester were working on the tunnel further down. Chester was really good at it, but because it was further down there was less air. So they went back up and will showed Chester some fancy bottles he dug up. Then Chester found some thing else and said COOL!

Last time their friend was worried about his job. They were tearing down a building and he had to stay back and break bricks to determine its value. He was breaking a wall with his hammer when suddenly he made a hole. Behind the hole was a door! When he opened it he discovered that it was a huge indoor well. It had stairs that went down he followed them. When at the bottom he found another door. He looked through and saw a town filled with demons! Scared that they would escape he locked it,ran out,and drove home quickly!

Tunnels - Chapter 1 Breaking Ground

Will and his dad liked to dig.one day they were digging in a tunnel that they had dug up.when suddenly they made a hole.they crawled through and walked along observing old posters.one had a picture of the circus on it.when suddenly they saw a door.they went in and saw that it was a small office will saw a desk with a box of blank fair tickets and they slipped out of his hand.while his dad found a small ticket making machine.Will's dad said not to tell anyone.once outside they got out of the hole and covered it up in the parking lot as the sun set.across town their Friend was tired,worried about his job, and was getting ready for bed.

Monster Madness - Chapter 21

Recently the named summoned the 5th. The three named that were left had died because of the 5th. Now Pinch, Charlie's best friend is the only one left. Pinch has opened a portal to the monster world and all the monsters are coming to her. Charlie was hiding behind a rock and she said that even he was welcome if he wanted to. Charlie said no, and then she asked him one more time. Charlie thought to himself, is she really going to let me go? He said no to her one more time. Then she told the monsters to attack him. But before they could reach him, he opened up a portal to the monster world and went through. Just then, the nightmare division had blamed Charlie for all the deaths of the banishers and the nethermencers. The nightmare divison is a big group of banisher and nethermencers who fight monsters, just like kids. But the kids are still in nightmare shool. Charlie had just got back and the head master wanted to see him. She said that it was now up to him to slay the 5th. Then Rex, one of his adult friends said it was time to show Charlie something special. They portaled in front of a big building in front of a pizza place. They rang the door bell. When they got to the door Charlie discovered it was his parents there.

Monster Madness - Chapter 20 Pearl

I read chapter 20 in my book, Monster Madness. As you recall only the four named can summon the 5th. But one of the named was dead. They had to find Charlie's best friend, another double threat. His best friend said yes. His name was Pinch. Pinch put on the special artifact to summon the 5th. Once the 5th was summon they found out she was really tall and powerful with four big arms! One of the named was rude to her and with one flick of her finger she turned him to ashes. There were 2 other named left. They were rude to her too so she turned one of them to stone. She put the other one in a tornado. He was pretty much gone after that.

Monster Madness - Chapter 19

I read The Worm turns chapter. There are these kids who can open portals to the monster world. There are kids who slay the monster in the monster world, and the real world. There is kid in the book who can open portals and slay monsters, he's a double threat. There is this creature that can kill monsters just by touching them, but it can also be killed by humans touching it. The creature has knocked out all the mosters with its aura. Now the portal openers open portals to the monster world and throw the monsters in. Now there only two monsters left who have not been portaled away. They are the "named" a strong alliance of monsters that have the powere to summon the 5th name. The 5th name monster will take over the world.

I like the kid in the book who can open portals and slay monsters. When he slays the monsters he has the ability to run really fast. I wish I could run really fast so I could win races. And the portaling he can do is cool beause he can go anywhere from the monster world to the human world, and from the human world to anywhere in the monster world. If I could do that I would use it to go on many adventures in my life.
